Went to Gent this weekend with my best friend for some relaxing time. Another good friend from Antwerp also came by to visit :) And when I came back, my dad and Hans have been laying the most perfect floor in our little palace!

2012
My minor in Gent is officially over! 5 months of school, hard work, enjoying this beautiful city, tears, laughter, stress, learning new things, meeting amazing people... It has all come to an end. Am I glad? Well a little, I completed the minor, will start my graduation Internship at SuperTrash this Monday and I’m going to live together with my boyfriend. But man, I’m going miss the streets of Gent, the coziness and my classmates... Thanks Gent for the most amazing 5 months in my life, but I’ll be back :)

I’m counting down the days that I’m going back to Holland and leave this amazing wonderful place. It’s cold here, the canals are frozen, but with the sun shining and my boyfriend near it becomes a magic place... Man how I felt in love with this amazing city!

2012
Last weekend it was Light Festival in Gent. This meant a light explosion and shows everywhere. I didn’t know what it was, but a friend told me to go. So I decided to learn a bit longer during the night and got on the bus to the city and I’ve no regrets! It was so pretty; I could have stayed there all night. So if the light festival hits Gent next year, I’m definitely going that weekend for a hotel stay and I recommend you to do the same!

Today was the first day without any exams. So time for some drinks and bites with Amber aaaand some outfit photos. The photos aren’t from a good quality, but it was so cold that we wanted to shoot in an ally without any wind.

2012
Julie’s House is one of the amazing places I visited a lot living in Gent. It’s such a cute and cozy place and their homemade pies and cupcakes are delicious! They say there breakfast is great too, but I haven’t had a change to try it. Actually I’m a bit a shamed that I didn’t try it, I live here for more than 4 months already! So that’s definitely on the must-do list before I leave and if your loving some good homemade pieces you should absolutely put Julie’s House on your must go list when visiting Gent, believe me! :)

In two weeks my minor in Gent will be done and I’m ready for the next step. Last Friday I had a solicitation at SuperTrash for a graduation internship. Today I got the call that I got accepted. The project I’m gonna work on, is really something I want to do in the future. So, only a few more exams to go and I can start. Thanks SuperTrash for giving me this amazing opportunity, I can’t wait to start!

Only 3 days in Gent and my stress level is sky high again! Tomorrow I’ve the exam I’m most afraid for... Pattern making! Although I like to make patterns, I do not like it now. Normally I’ve my reader near with the steps, but with the exam it has to come all out of my tiny little head. Help?

In Gent there’s a very small café called ‘t Dreupelkot. It’s really cute and cozy. At ‘t Dreupelkot you can taste all kinds of Jenevers/Gins. Like the door already says: 100 Belgium’s and 1 North France. And with all kind, I mean ALL kinds. Watermelon, coconut, chocolate (which taste like chocolate milk), Lychee, Tiramisu, Pepper... Well I can go on for ages and although I don’t drink that often, I like to go here with friends. So when your visiting Gent one time, make sure that you’re paying ‘t Dreupelkot a visit.

A couple of weeks ago I told you guys that I had to sew a coat, inspired by Thierry Mugler, for pattern making. That coat is already ready for a few weeks, but I didn’t have the time to post it. But with no lessons and only 1 paper to go, had could schedule some time to blog. And what do you think? Pretty nice huh, for some who couldn’t sew or make patterns before her minor!
